CUSTODIAL SERVICES AGREEMENT
BETWEEN
CITY OF PLEASANTON AND
PLEASANTON UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
RELATING TO TWO CITY GYMNASIUMS
This Agreement is made and entered into this 8TH day
of QCTORFR , 1991 by and between the CITY
OF PLEASANTON, a municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as
"City" and the PLEASANTON UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT, Alameda County,
California, hereinafter referred to as "School District."
RECITALS
A. The City and School District share a joint use facility
consisting of a City gymnasium and a School District gymnasium at
5001 Case Avenue on the Pleasanton Middle School campus. Paragraph 18(h) of the Harvest Park Joint Use Agreement
contains language identical to Paragraph 17(h) of the Pleasanton
Middle School Joint Use Agreement authorizing cross -charging for
custodial services.
C. The physical layout of dual gymnasiums in a single building
makes use of a single custodian the most efficient way to provide
custodial care. The single wood gymnasium floor shared between the
City Facility and the School District Facility at each location
means that it would be impractical to have each agency perform the
annual refinish work on only one-half of each gymnasium floor.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises set
forth below, City and School District agree as follows:
1. District Custodial Care of City Facilities.
The School District shall provide custodial care for the City
Facility at 5001 Case Avenue. Upon its completion, the School
