•ubject: FW: East Pleasanton Specific Plan should be comleted LT VViATERIA
ttachments: Op Ed Pleasanton Weekly.5.1.15.pdf UUE'
Provided to the City Council
After Distribution of Packet
From: Les Duman
6744-11-
Sent:Thursday, May 14, 2015 11:53 AM Date •
To: Mayor and City Council
Cc: Shweta Bonn
Subject: East Pleasanton Specific Plan should be completed
Hello City Council, Mayor, and associated City Staff.
It is my assessment that the East Pleasanton Specific Plan should be completed. It is the most prudent, logical, and
beneficial action for the City of Pleasanton and its citizens. Rather than rehash the details, I am attaching the Op Ed
article from a recent Pleasanton Weekly with which I firmly agree.
Our City, in many ways, is close to being an ideal community and overall, I am pleased with the progress Pleasanton has
achieved with our current Council. However, it is quite frustrating to see, once again, a small group of aggressive and
self-centered citizens steer our elected officials into decisions that are sometimes detrimental to the majority of our
citizens for the sake of placating the few.
I urge the Council to vote to complete the plan, knowing that controls will be in place to assess and proceed with actual
development only when it is appropriate to do so. Let's do what is best for all of our citizens, and not waste the City's
®
ayaluable resources by stopping and restarting the plan.
Sincerely,
Les Duman, Pleasanton Resident since 1985, Business owner,Community Volunteer
Pleasanton 94588
Click here to report this email as spam.
1
