Either configuration is considered acceptable,and the Equipment Supplier may submit either one or both for consideration in their quotation. The local station controls shall be self-contained,with a local PLC to operate the station and register alarms. The Owner will provide and install a co-located TESCO panel mounted on the skid provided by the Equipment Supplier to communicate status to the Owner's control facilities. The Equipment Supplier furnished and installed PLC shall be capable of communicating status and alarms to the Owner's TESCO panel and receiving control signals from the District's TESCO panel,as detailed below to provide for full remote operation and control of the station.The TESCO panel shall be mounted by the Owner's contractor, however the equipment manufacturer's skid shall accommodate the space,weight and mounting requirements of the panel,as provided below,to allow direct mounting to the skid,complete with conduit and conductor runs to the panel. The station will be contained in a walk-in enclosure of fiberglass construction. While the City prefers that the equipment supplier provide the fiberglass enclosure,the City will entertain bids from suppliers that exclude the structure. As such,the basis for review of bids shall be the cost of the entire scope of supply presented below,excluding the enclosure. All equipment described below, including pumps, motors,control panels, instruments and electrical equipment, is to be skid mounted on a single, manufacturer-designed and constructed structural skid suitable for anchoring on a concrete slab on grade and housekeeping pad. The following requirements define the basic package requirements.Where noted "SPECIFY IN QUOTE," the equipment or proposed approach to meeting these requirements shall be specified in the Equipment Supplier's Quotation. PUMPS AND PUMP PERFORMANCE • Pumped Fluid: California Code of Regulations,Title 22 Disinfected Tertiary Treated Water for unrestricted use • Pump Configuration: o The station will house pumps in one of two configurations: • 2+1: two large pumps and one smaller,jockey pump. In this configuration,the City anticipates that the jockey pump will be used to convey lower flows associated with the initial system, but that the jockey will be replaced with a large pump as flows increase.Thus,the skid shall be configured to allow the jockey pump to be replaced in the future with a pump matching the size and physical dimensions of the large pump and all electrical equipment,conductors, related accessories and ancillary equipment shall be sized to support the future, large pump.Supply of the future large pump and the future VFD is not in the scope of this procurement. • 3+1: four identically sized pumps, of which 3 are duty and one is a ready standby.
