2. It is understood that the above payments are for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1971, and that prior to ~rch i of each year City will notify County of the requested amount of such payments for the next fiscal year. a. The above requested payments are subject to approval of County and the inclusion of sn amo~zut in County's preliminary budget. b. If the amount of the charges cannot be agreed upon end no funds are included in County's budget for s~id fire protection services, the contract is void. III. GEneRAL COi~ITI0~IS 1. For the purpose of performing said services, City shall furnish and supply all necessary labor, supervdsion, equipment, communication facilities and supplies necessary to maintain the level of service to be ren- dered hereunder. 2. ~ne rendition of services to be performed under this agree- ment~ the standards of performance, the discipline of officers, and other ~++~o incidental to the ~ ~ .............. ~ ....... ~c ........ ,,~ cf services ~ the ~ of per- sonnel so employed, shall remain in City. The determination of the Fire Chief of City shall be final snd conclusive as between the parties hereto as to the extent of the duties and functions to be rendered hereunder, or the level or m~nner of performance of such service. 3. For the purpose of performing such services and functions, and for the purpose of giving official status to the performance thereof, every City officer and employee engaged in performing any such service and function shall be deemed to be an officer or an employee of County while per- forming services for County, which service is within the scope of this agree- ment. IV. NO CHANGE ~ ESiPLO~NT EFFECTED .HEREBY 1. Ail persons employed in the performance of such services and functions for County sh~ll be City employees, and no Comnty employee, aa -2-
