2. It is understood that the above payments are for the £iscel year ending June 30, 1971, and that prior to M~rch 1 of each year City will notify County of the requested amount of such payments for the next fiscal year. a. The above requested payments are subject to approval of County and the inclusion of an amount in County's preliminary budget. b. If the amount of the chsrges cannot be agreed upon and no funds sre included in County's budget for said fire protection services, the contract is void. III. GE~RD~ COi~ITI0?~$ 1. For the purpose of performing said services, City shall furnish and supply all necessary labor, supervision, equipment, communication facilities and supplies necessary to maintain the level of service to be ren- dered hereunder. 2. The rendition of services to be performed under this agree- ment, the standards of performance, the discipline of officers, and other ........ pcr~..~n~e of such services ~nd ~~,~ of per- sonnel so employed, shall remain in City. The determinstion of the Fire Chief of City sh~ll be final end conclusive as between the parties hereto as to the extent of the duties and functions to be rendered hereunder, or the level or manner of performance of such service. 3. For the purpose of performing such services and functions, and for the purpose of giving official status to the performance thereof, every City officer and employee engaged in performing ~ny such service and function shall be deemed to be an officer or an employee of County while per- forming services for County, which service is within the scope of this agree- ment. /V.
