City of Pleasanton–Spotorno Ranch Reduced Development Project
Initial Study/Consistency Checklist Environmental Checklist

FirstCarbon Solutions 139
https://adecinnovations.sharepoint.com/sites/PublicationsSite/Shared Documents/Publications/Client (PN-JN)/2148/21480021/Consistency Checklist/21480021 Spotorno Ranch Consistency Checklist ScreenCheck.docx
be drawn from the local labor pool within the greater Bay Area and, therefore, would not indirectly
induce substantial growth.35 Therefore, the proposed project would not result in any peculiar effects
and would not result in new or more severe impacts related to population growth beyond what was
previously analyzed in the 1998 HVSP FEIR.
b) Displacement of Persons or Housing
Would the project: Displace substantial numbers of existing people or housing, necessitating the
construction of replacement housing elsewhere?
The approximately 112-acre project site is undeveloped and is dominated by mature vegetation and
native grasslands, including hilly grazing lands. No existing residential units or people are living on-
site; therefore, the project would not displace significant numbers of housing units or residents.
There is a residence located on Lot 96 of the HVSP, but this residence is located outside of the
boundaries of the project site, and the proposed project would not result in the displacement of this
housing unit or its residents. As a result, the proposed project would not displace any people or
housing units, and no replacement housing would be needed. There would be no impacts.
Therefore, the proposed project would not result in any peculiar effects and would not result in new
or more severe impacts related to the displacement of people or housing beyond what was
previously analyzed in the 1998 HVSP FEIR.
FEIR Mitigation Measures
None required.
Conclusion
No new significant impacts to population and housing would occur. The conclusions from the 1998
HVSP FEIR remain unchanged.

35 City of Pleasanton Happy Valley Specific Plan, Table V-1 Housing Summary by PUD District, page 25, June 1998.
