City of Pleasanton–Spotorno Ranch Reduced Development Project
Initial Study/Consistency Checklist Environmental Checklist

FirstCarbon Solutions 173
https://adecinnovations.sharepoint.com/sites/PublicationsSite/Shared Documents/Publications/Client (PN-JN)/2148/21480021/Consistency Checklist/21480021 Spotorno Ranch Consistency Checklist ScreenCheck.docx
flooding. As discussed in Section 4.11, Hydrology and Water Quality, the City of Pleasanton’s
Department of Engineering determined that there does not appear to be flooding issues within the
Spotorno property. Furthermore, as discussed in Section 4.7, Geology and Soils, the proposed
project would not build residential structures within the landslide area due to the Building
Restriction Zone.
Compliance with City regulations including a City Grading and Drainage Plan, Erosion Control
Measures, BMPs, and the Building Restriction Zone, would reduce the risk of possible impacts
related to flooding and landslides. Therefore, the proposed project would not result in any peculiar
effects and would not result in new or more severe impacts related to flooding or landslides in a very
high fire hazard severity zone beyond what was previously analyzed in the 1998 HVSP FEIR.
FEIR Mitigation Measures
None.
Conclusion
No new significant impacts related to flooding and landslide hazards due to post-wildfire slope
instability would occur. The conclusion from the 1998 HVSP FEIR remain unchanged.
