Page 2 of 2 <br /> <br />OUTREACH <br />No outreach was conducted, as this item is a routine matter of City business. <br /> <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />This action is aligned with the ONE Pleasanton Strategic Plan goals of Funding Our Future, <br />which supports financial health and sound fiscal policies through cost recovery and increased <br />revenue, and Safeguarding Our City, which prioritizes community safety. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The approximate cost of purchasing 39 bulletproof vests is $53,600. Funds for these <br />purchases are allocated to the General Fund budget. The BVP grant will provide funding to <br />supplant the City’s expenditures for bulletproof vests and reimburse the City for up to 50 <br />percent of the costs. This grant will only be used to fund the purchase and replacement of <br />bulletproof vests.
