As the next two-year budget cycle will be developed in early 2025, staff recommends
that the commission develop a short-term work plan to guide its work over the course of this
current fiscal year (July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025).

RECOMMENDATION
Review and provide feedback on the Parks and Recreation Commission's Short-Term
Workplan Priorities for FY 2024/25.

BACKGROUND
As stated in Section 2.32.020 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code: The duties of the Parks and
Recreation Commission shall include the following: “Develop a commission workplan to be
provided to the City Council for consideration during the budget process. Evaluate the Park Ambassador Program
2. Review and recommend direction for cemetery operations and fees
3.
