Estimate the total number of unduplicated Pleasanton residents to be served by this
project.
Directly - 35 - 50 members
Indirectly - Hundreds (hopefully)
EBMS Broadway Chorus has about 50% of the members coming from the City of Livermore
and about 50% of the members coming from Pleasanton.
With increased funding, we anticipate that additional members from Pleasanton (and
Livermore) will also benefit from the grant.
More than 50% of the adult Broadway Chorus are members ages 55 and up. Recently,
EBMS began offering "scholarships" to assist any member that wishes to join the Broadway
Chorus, but needs financial assistance.
Our youth chorus is for those ages 14 or under and we offer family discounts when parents
and children join together.
Describe the specific population your agency anticipates serving with these funds and
how they will benefit from the implementation of this project. With funding
from our previous grant, we were able to sustain and offer scholarships to several
participants whom otherwise would not have been able to join the choir due to financial
constraints.
For any person needing accommodations under ADA, EBMS Broadway Chorus has always
made reasonable efforts to provide accommodations (financial/physical/socio-
economical/mental). A few examples would be:
1) Physical Assistance - Chairs provided for persons that are unable to stand for extended
periods of time
2) Financial - Scholarships
3) Technology Constraints - Providing in person assistance and other items to facilitate
rehearsals (ie. physical CD's for practice tracks, additional music, additional musical tracks
to assist with at home practice)
With additional funding, EBMS has been able to attract more members that want to
Page 56 of 116
