City of Pleasanton—Villages at the Quarry Project
15183 Consistency Checklist Project Description

11
2.4.6 - Off-site Improvements
The proposed project would include off-site improvements along Busch Road
and Valley Avenue, such as curb, gutter, roadway, sidewalk/trail, extension
of Ironhorse Trail, storm/sanitary sewer/water systems, and landscaping.
2.4.7 - Utilities
Water and Wastewater
The proposed project would connect to existing water and sewer lines in
Valley Avenue and Busch Road. Water and sewer service would be provided
by the City, and sewer treatment would be provided by the Dublin San
Ramon Services District (DSRSD).
Storm Drainage
Stormwater runoff is collected by inlets and directed toward an underground
storm system where it would either be pumped or gravity-drained into six
different bioretention basins for treatment. The bioretention basins are
located in the northern and southwestern portion of the project site. Treated
storm waters would then be discharged into the City’s storm drain system
pursuant to applicable laws and regulations.
Solid Waste
Solid waste disposal services would be provided by Pleasanton Garbage
Services, Inc. (PGS).
Natural Gas and Electricity
The proposed project would be all-electric per the City’s local building codes
and the City’s Climate Action Plan 2.0 (CAP 2.0) (see Strategies BE-1, 2, and 3
and Primary Action P1). The City adopted the East Bay Community Energy
(EBCE) community choice aggregation program in 2021, meaning EBCE
would be the proposed project’s electricity provider. However, EBCE would
provide energy via connections to existing electricity infrastructure that
would be provided by Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E).
Telecommunications
Telephone service would be provided by AT&T, and Cable TV service would
be provided by Comcast Xfinity.
