City of Pleasanton—Villages at the Quarry Project
15183 Consistency Checklist Consistency Checklist

63
Source Cancer Risk
(per million)
Annual
PM2.5
(µg/m³)
Hazard
Index
Notes:
µg/m³ = micrograms per cubic meter
BAAQMD = Bay Area Air Quality Management District
MEIR = Maximally Exposed Individual Resident
MEIW = Maximally Exposed Individual Worker
PM2.5 = particulate matter less than 2.5 microns in diameter

Cumulative Health Risks of all TAC Sources at the Off-site Project MEIR
Cumulative health risk assessments look at all substantial sources of TACs
located within 1,000 feet of a project site (i.e., influence area) that can affect
sensitive receptors. These sources include rail lines, freeways or highways,
busy surface streets, and stationary sources identified by BAAQMD.
A review of BAAQMD’s stationary source Geographic Information Systems
(GIS) map tool identified six existing stationary sources of TACs with the
potential to affect the project MEIR. Appendix B shows the location of the
sources. Cumulative health risk impacts from these sources upon the MEIR are
reported in Table 4.
Summary of Cumulative Health Risk Impact at Construction MEIR
Table 4 reports the cumulative community risk impacts at the sensitive
receptors most affected by construction (i.e., the MEIR) from project
construction, and nearby roads, rail lines and stationary sources. The project
would not have an exceedance with respect to health risk caused by
project construction activities since the cancer risk, annual PM2.5
concentration, and HI do not exceed the BAAQMD single source and
cumulative-source thresholds. Therefore, the impacts would be less than
significant.
Table 4: Impacts from Combined Sources at Project MEIR
Source
Cancer Risk
(per million)
Annual PM2.5
(µg/m³)
Hazard
Index
Cumulative Impacts
MEIR Project Construction Unmitigated 2.57 0.03 0.00
Roadways 6.37 0.27 0.03
Railroad and Railyards 0.96 0.00 0.00
Facility ID: 14553, Generator 0.06 0.00 0.00
