Notable improvements
with the El Charro Road Extension would occur at the Santa Rita Road/Valley Road intersection,
which would experience decreases in vehicle delays of 10 or more seconds per vehicle. The
extension produces similar delay reductions to those observed under previous scenarios. On
average, the inclusion of the Amazon project increases the average delay across study
intersections by approximately one second per intersection.
Land Use Alternatives Comparison
Table 10 below compiles the level of service results from the earlier tables for the No Extension
scenarios for all land use alternatives. Table 11 compiles these results for the Plus Extension
scenarios for greater ease of comparison across the alternatives.
Table 10: Land Use Alternatives No Extension Level of Service Comparison
Intersection Peak Hour
Approved
Conditions Alternative 1 Alternative 2 Alternative 3 Alternative 4
Delay LOS Delay LOS Delay LOS Delay LOS Delay LOS
1 Santa Rita Road/Stoneridge Drive
AM PM
57 E 60 E 60 E 61 E 61 E
42 D 43 D 43 D 44 D 44 D
2 Santa Rita
Road/Valley Avenue
AM
PM
54 D 61 E 62 E 63 E 64 E
58 E 66 E 68 E 70 E 70 E
3 Bernal Avenue-Valley Avenue/Stanley Boulevard
AM PM
47 D 48 D 50 D 52 D 52 D
34 C 34 C 34 C 34 C 34 C
5 El Charro Road/Stoneridge Boulevard
AM PM
39 D 39 D 43 D 53 D 53 D
28 C 28 C 31 C 37 D 50 D
6 Busch Road/Valley
Avenue
AM
PM
30 C 32 C 35 C 39 D 39 D
11 B 17 B 18 B 21 C 21 C
Notes: 1.
