No <br />detention or enforcement action <br />taken. Business contact, citizen <br />contact, advice call, etc. <br />Enforcement Contact 3 years All detentions. Probation/Parole <br />searches not resulting in arrest. <br />Traffic stops, ped stops, bike <br />stops, etc. <br />Mental Health Contact 5 years Any call for service where the <br />main complaint or issues deals <br />with mental health. 5150s, mental <br />health welfare check, potential <br />HOT calls. <br />Misdemeanor Case 5 years All misdemeanor cases that are <br />not covered in a more specific <br />category below, to include arrests <br />and traffic misdemeanors <br />Felony Case 10 years All felony cases that are not <br />covered in a more specific <br />category below, to include arrests <br />and traffic felonies, pursuit <br />DV 15 years All calls for service and <br />investigations related to <br />misdemeanor or felony domestic <br />violence or DV restraining order <br />violations <br />DUI 10 years Any arrest for DUI <br />Violent Felony (245, 187, etc.) Until Manually Deleted All person’s crime violent felonies. <br />May or may not have injury. All <br />Shootings, stabbings homicides, <br />245PC, 187PC, etc. <br />Sex Crimes (incl 243.4, 314, <br />647.6) <br />Until Manually Deleted All sex crimes to include <br />misdemeanors. <br />Use of Force Until Manually Deleted Will be used exclusively by <br />supervisor during their review <br />of the use of force. Supervisors, <br />when reviewing video, will add <br />category of “Use of Force” <br />Deletion Review Until Manually Deleted Digital content of non-evidentiary <br />value that are recorded or <br />uploaded by mistake.
