These generators would allow assets to continue to
function even when power is cut to the facility. To help increase the resiliency of the City’s lift stations, the
generator upgrade recommendations were assigned to Priority A. However, less critical assets identified by
TJC could be moved to Priority B if funding is unavailable. A summary of the costs for th e generator
upgrades for sewer and stormwater lift stations is shown in Table 3-5.

1 The $222,275 project cost attributed to existing customers represents funds collected by the City from the Kiewit
development through its sewer connection fee. These funds will be reserved for future East Pleasanton Capacity
Improvement projects, specifically for upsizing or installing new sewer infrastructure to accommodate additional flow.

Future developments in the East Pleasanton area will share the cost of these capacity improvements proportionally,
based on the volume of flow each adds to the system. A preliminary capacity project, Capacity Project 4, was developed
using the latest land use proposals from the Arroyo Lago, Amazon, East Lakes, and Site H developers. However, this
project is subject to change depending on the final scope and timing of the developments.

An assumed cost split for Capacity Project 4 is shown based on the anticipated timing of each development’s connection
to the system.
