SHC Tri-Valley East Wing Hospital Addition <br />Design Review Application – Project Narrative <br />TAYLOR DESIGN – 6370.101 <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br />HELIPAD <br />The existing at grade helipad west of the Central Utility Plant will remain and existing flow from the helipad to <br />the Emergency Department will be maintained. The helipad is used for emergency situations involving transfers <br />of critically ill patients including accident victims in a life-threatening condition and situations including organ <br />donors. Helicopters using the helipad follow Interstate 580/680, Owens Drive, and Old Santa Rita Road corridors <br />in their approach to the helipad. Proposed new structures will not interfere with the current flight paths.
