Ridership and Access at the Station
Figure 4 shows the average daily entries at the Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station for weekdays and
weekends for the period between January 2024 and February 2025. According to the BART
ridership data,2 the Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station had around 3,000 entries on a typical
weekday and about 1,500 entries on an average weekend day in 2024. Ridership peaked in
August/September and was the lowest during the winter months. In comparison, the station had
more than 8,000 entries on a typical weekday in 2019.
Figure 4: Average Daily Ridership (Station Entries) at Dublin/Pleasanton BART

4,000
3,500
3,000
2,500
2,000
1,500
1,000
500
0

Average Weekday Average Saturday Average Sunday
Source: BART, 2025.

The Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station platform has a single gated entrance located in the I-580
freeway median, just west of the Iron Horse Trail and a two-way transit-only access road. Both
sides of the station provide designated bus, passenger loading, and parking spaces. The main
bus boarding area is on the Dublin side, where 12 bus bays are located just north of the station
entrance. Of the 20 bus routes that serve the station, 18 stop on the Dublin side of the station
and only two stop on the Pleasanton side. About 30 total buses serve the station during each of
the morning and evening peak hours. Table 1 compares the 2015 (the latest publicly available
data) station access mode share for all trips for this station to that systemwide. About 73
percent of riders accessed the station by automobile modes (41 percent drove and parked and
32 percent were dropped off or took a taxi). In comparison, about 30 percent of the riders
systemwide accessed the stations by automobile modes.

2 BART Ridership Reports.
