Dublin/Pleasanton BART Existing Conditions – Access and Circulation
June 6, 2025

Figure 12: Valley Link Pleasanton Station Location

Source: Valley Link, 2024.

5. Conclusions
The Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station is the eastern terminus of BART’s Blue Line and a key access
point for commuters from the Tri-Valley and Central Valley. While historically auto-oriented, the
station area offers opportunities to support more balanced, multimodal access that aligns with
current land use, housing, and sustainability goals.
Our site visit and review of available data shows both existing strengths, such as regional bus
connections, available parking capacity, and a strong trail network, and notable gaps in pedestrian
and bicycle infrastructure, signage, and connectivity. Planned projects, including enhancements to
the Iron Horse Trail, the proposed Valley Link station, and potential transit -oriented housing
development on the Pleasanton side, reflect a growing shift toward a more integrated station
area.
DRA
F
T
