City Council Minutes Page 5 of 5 January 20, 2026 <br />Presentation by Siew-Chin Yeong, Director of Public Works. <br />Mayor Balch opened public comment. There being no speakers, Mayor Balch <br />closed the public comment. <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL <br />Councilmember Eicher requested a revisit of Downtown ground floor use restrictions at <br />a future City Council meeting. City Manager Beaudin requested if the City Council <br />would be willing to have the item be considered with the next City Council workplan <br />review in a month and a half. The City Council agreed to the future update. <br />Councilmember Gaidos asked if a formal request was needed to initiate a new <br />appointment to the Altamont Community Monitor Committee.
