Katherine Yuen Krisch, CPA, CIA <br />CEO <br />Since 1996, Katherine Yuen Krisch has built a distinguished career in municipal <br />accounting and auditing, becoming a recognized leader in the field and a <br />passionate advocate for strong internal controls and sound governmental <br />financial practices. <br />Katherine began her career in 1996 with a CPA firm focused on municipal audits, <br />where she spent 25 years serving as an external auditor for governmental entities. <br />In 2021, recognizing the growing need for expert advisory services in the public <br />sector, she launched the Governmental Advisory and Accounting Services <br />Department within that firm. Following a firm split in 2023, Katherine and her <br />team transitioned to form Krisch & Company. <br />A frequent speaker at professional conferences, Katherine is committed to <br />sharing her expertise with peers across the industry. She also serves on CalCPA’s <br />Governmental Accounting and Auditing Committee, contributing to the <br />development of practical guidance for CPAs working in the public sector. <br />Katherine holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the <br />University of California, at Berkeley.
