330 Land Company, LLC 9785.004.001
Arroyo Lago October 31, 2025
RESPONSE TO CITY REVIEW COMMENTS Page 4

ENGEO Response to Comment 9

No exceptions taken. Section 3.5.2 has been added to discuss the impacts of differential fill within
the emergency swale area.

BSK Comment 10 – Geotechnical Report, Section 3.6, Corrosion Potential

Because only one corrosion test was performed for such a large project site, we suggest that in
addition to recommending that a corrosion consultant be retained, consideration be given to
recommending additional corrosivity testing.

ENGEO Response to Comment 10

We anticipate the majority of utilities will be in engineered fill. Engineered fill brought on site to
raise site grades will be screened during grading for corrosivity.

BSK Comment 11 – Geotechnical Report, Section 5.0, Earthquake Recommendations

a. ENGEO should also discuss the backfill of the emergency swale in this section. As noted in
Comment #9 above, the emergency swale is as deep as 5 feet bgs in some areas and will
therefore result in differential fill depths across some residential lots.
b. It appears that earthwork recommendations for “structural areas” may be missing from the
geotechnical report as it is mentioned in this section but not referenced again in the remainder
of the geotechnical report.

ENGEO Response to Comment 11

a. Section 5.3.2 has been added to discuss differential fill thickness considerations for lots
located within the emergency swale area and in other areas of the site.
b. The reference to “structural areas” has been removed from Section 5.0.

BSK Comment 12 – Geotechnical Report, Section 5.2, Surcharge Program

ENGEO should mention the emergency swale because it is as deep as 5 feet bgs in some areas
and will therefore result in differential fill depths across residential lots.

ENGEO Response to Comment 12

Fills ranging from 3 to 7 feet will be placed to reach pad grades in the lots the emergency swale
passes through. Surcharge heights in these areas should be selected in Tables 5.2-1 and 5.2-2
by using an average of the total civil fill placed in the area. Additional discussion has been added
to clarify surcharge height selection.
