Launched from a 40mm platform, the <br />munitions travel at a velocity of 240-260 ft./sec and weigh 105 grams. <br />Purpose/Authorized Uses: It is intended to be used as a less-than lethal option similar to a baton, bean <br />bag shotgun, etc <br />Fiscal Impacts: Munitions are to be included in the initial purchase price. <br />Annual Maintenance: None <br />Personnel Cost: None <br />Legal/Procedural Rules Governing Use: All use of force applications are governed by state law <br />(including Penal Code section 13652) and Pleasanton PD Policy Sections 300 and 308. <br />Training Required: Only officers who have received training from a certified instructor are authorized to <br />use this device.
