City of Pleasanton—Additional Housing Sites Rezonings Project <br />CEQA Guidelines Section 15164 Addendum Project Description <br /> <br /> <br /> 5 <br />Prior to acting on these approvals, the City must adopt the Addendum to the <br />Prior FEIR prepared for the General Plan. Adoption of the Addendum is a <br />prerequisite to ensure compliance with CEQA before any amendments to <br />the General Plan, zoning map or text, or Objective Design Standards can be <br />approved. <br />9. Intended Uses of the Addendum <br />CEQA Guidelines Section 15164(a) requires a lead agency or a responsible <br />agency to prepare an Addendum to a previously certified EIR if some <br />changes or additions are necessary but none of the conditions described in <br />CEQA Guidelines Sections 15162 or 15163 calling for preparation of a <br />subsequent or supplemental document have occurred (CEQA Guidelines §§ <br />15164(a) and 15163(a)). The purpose of this Addendum is to evaluate the <br />proposed project in terms of any changed condition (e.g., project changes, <br />changed circumstances, or new information of substantial importance) that <br />may result in a changed environmental result (e.g., a new significant impact <br />or substantial increase in the severity of a previously identified significant <br />effect) (CEQA Guidelines § 15162). This Addendum uses the standard <br />environmental checklist categories provided in Appendix G of the CEQA <br />Guidelines but provides summary columns for evaluation consistent with the <br />provisions for an addendum (CEQA Guidelines §§15162–15164). This <br />Addendum will be used by the City, as Lead Agency, to inform decision- <br />making regarding the required discretionary approvals, including all <br />anticipated project approvals. The Addendum may also be relied upon by <br />other responsible and trustee agencies, as applicable, in their consideration <br />of subsequent permits or approvals necessary to implement the proposed <br />project. <br />2.2 - Project Location and Setting <br />2.2.1 - Location <br />x Site A: 3825/3875 Hopyard Road, Pleasanton, California 94588.
