2. Tentative schedule:

7-9am
up to lOam
lO-llam

llam-l2pm

12-lpm
l-3pm
3-5pm

4:30-6pm

Drop off
Morning breakfast & milk
Various activities like inside play, watching kids TV
programs, cartoons, etc.
Outdoor play/indoor play (depending on the season &
weather)
Lunch, milk, baby food, etc.
Afternoon nap
Afternoon snacks
Activities like play, music, drawing, reading, art & craft
etc.
Pick up

CONCERNS/PROBLEMS:
Drop-off/Pick-up- Attached is an impromptu observation of cars coming and going
from the applicant location (EXHIBIT D-Survey of Cars). No one purposefully
watched for the cars as these observations were unplanned. Without even'atternpting
to survey the traffic for many hours, the parents were seen without even trying. The
attached exhibit shows the cars arriving and how long they were parked on the street
(if possible). One car even parked in front of 5270 Genovesio. The survey was only
from April 18 2005 through May II, 2005. During this short period of time, on four
(4) different occasions the parents were picking up or dropping off children outside
of the times that are indicated on the application narrative. Even with a smaller
number of children, the parents are unable to keep within the confined times as
indicated. With a larger number of children, the situation will potentially worsen.

Further, when the 'parents were observed at the location, the amount oftime the car
was parked was also documented (when it was possible). The amount of time ranged
from 5-25 minutes. It is difficult to understand how the applicant will manage the
drop off by "staggered for approximately 2 hours in the morning and pick up is'
staggered for about 1 Y, hours in the evening." As it is currently, the parents seem to
arrive at relatively the same time and to increase this would lead to more problems
with parking and traffic.

Proximity & Size of homes-Per the applicants own drawing, the homes in this
neighborhood are only about 9.4+/- feet apart (EXHIBIT A). The lot of these homes
and the homes are on the smaller side. Review of the sketch by the applicant shows
that approximately 800 sq ft. (inside) will be used for up to 14 children, and 2
caregivers. It is difficult to understand how 14 children can be kept inside such a
small space. Particular concern should be given to where the children can sleep
should they need rest. The amount of space for this size daycare does not seem to be
appropriate for this amount of children.
