2. Table IV-13 of the draft Element has been modified as discussed below in order to
substantiate the conclusion that "the City has zoned more than enough residential land
at appropriate densities to meet and exceed its aggregate share of regional needs as
determined by ABAG":

· Table IV-13 now includes the current zoning of all High Density
Residential sites in the City, as well as the anticipated zoning of the three
parcels not currently within the city limits and the anticipated acreage of
parcels undergoing annexation.

· Table IV-13 now clarifies that all three unincorporated High Density
Residential sites are planned to be annexed to the City in either 1996 or
1997. Annexation and development plans for these three sites are now in
progress. A note has also been added to Table IV-13 which confirms that
Pleasanton has the ability to accommodate its remaining regional housing
share need even if all three planned annexations do not occur.

3. Appendix E of the Supplement has been updated to include the following:

· An analysis of the availability of financing for housing in Pleasanton;

· An analysis of land costs which includes an estimate of the average
per-unit cost of land in single-family and multi-family zoned areas; and

· A construction cost analysis which focuses on developer costs, including
land, fees, materials/labor and financing for single-family and multi-family
homes.

4. The special needs analysis of the Housing Element (Table IV-9) has been revised to
included updated census data provided by HCD regarding elderly households by tenure,
and farm worker households.

As a result of consultation with local Homeless Shelter providers in the Tri-Valley area,
and the Pleasanton Police Depathnent, we estimate that there is an average of
approximately thirty (30) homeless persons in Pleasanton. The Police Department knew
of only two. It was not possible to ascertain information concerning homeless
sub-populations.

a., b., c. Pleasanton does not have any homeless facilities; however, two exist in
Livermore which serve the TrioValley. These include:

Shepherd's Gate - Shelter is provided for 16 women and children
with stays of up to three weeks. Food and clothing are provided.

Family Crisis Center - Food, support services, transportation,
information, and referrals are provided.
