Task 2.1 Topographic Survey and Base ~apping
CONSULTANT will perform an aerial survey of a section of approximately 150' wide
and approximately 1700' long centered on the physical alignment of Old Stanley
Boulevard, including coverage of both intersections. The aerial mapping will be
compiled at a scale of 1"= 40' with a I' contour interval and spot elevations on a 50'
grid.

Tbe aerial base sheet will be supplemented with conventional ground surveys providing
street cross-sections at 50' intervals; existing structures; conform areas; fences; walls;
driveways; control systems; surface evidence of utilities; storm drain manhole and inlet
pipe sizes and invert elevations; trees larger than 6" DBH; signs; poles; street lights; and
other pertinent improvements. Horizontal and Vertical control will be tied to the CITY
datum. All survey work will be in Standard English units and will conform to CITY
Standards.

Task 2.2 Record Plan Research
CONSULTANT will obtain plans or reports as required through the CITY. Tbe plans
and reports may include, but are not limited to, existing as-built roadway plans, utility
plans (water, storm drain, sanitary sewer, etc.) development plans for the adjacent
subdivisions, traffic accident data, etc.

Task 2.3 Utility Mapping
CONSULTANT will send Utility Information Request Letters to all applicable utility
companies requesting current as-builts, schematic maps, etc. of their facilities within the
project boundaries. The response mapping will be used with the CITY-furnished utility
plans to develop the project utility base map.

Task 2.4 Field Investigations
CONSULTANT will physically walk the project site with the CITY. The project review
will be used to visually evaluate potential roadway design issues including grading
conflicts, drainage issues, utility conflicts, etc. CONSULTANT will produce a photo log
of the project site.

TASK 3 - P A VE~ENT ~A TERIALS DESIGN
CONSULTANT shall conduct a geotechnical/pavement materials investigation and
provide pavement recommendations. This task consists of:
. Meeting with USA to determine acceptable locations for drilling
. Perform traffic control during drilling operation
. Drilling, logging, and sampling four (4) shallow borings 5 to 7 feet deep.
. Determine R-Value of soil
. Identify core samples of existing pavement including AC and AB thicknesses
. Provide general existing pavement condition assessment
. Recommend AC overlay and new pavement structural section based upon T.!.
provided by CITY.
Deliverable: Pinal Pavement Materials Report
