P~ASANTON'S CURRENT MARKETING MATERIALS

City Materials

The City of Pleasanton Planning Department produces copies
of information on multi-colored sheets of paper. It includes
lists of residential projects, homeowners associations, shopping
centers, low-income housing projects, uncommitted residential
parcels, industrial/commercial office complexes, hotels, and
large employers. Projection on employment growth, housing,
stock, and population are also provided. Maps of Pleasanton and
traffic counts are available, too.

While the information is good, much of it is presented
without explanation. Also, the presentation is not consistent or
professional because the information is often pulled from
documents that have other purposes. The format and multi-colored
paper does not reflect the high quality image of the city.

It is difficult for city planning staff to give individual
assistance to the numerous daily inquiries. Advantage Pleasanton
materials and staff could take much of this burden off of the
planning department.

Chamber Materials

The Chamber of Commerce currently produces an economic
profile as part of the Pleasanton 2000 program. The information
included comes from chamber members and the city. The Pleasanton
2000 and Advantage Pleasanton materials shuuld become one and the

5
