Matters for the Information of the Council
Minor Modification to Case PUD-79-4
Mr. Harris presented his Information Report (IR 83:25) dated November 16, 1983,
relative to identification signs on two of the entrance lots located on the south
side of Junipero Street between Sunol Boulevard and Sonoma Drive; the developer has
requested that he not be required to construct these two signs as they take up a
considerable portion of the front yards and would probably cause an attractive nui-
sance by providing seating for anyone who wished to loiter in the area. Council took
no action relative to the minor modification to Case PUD-79-4.

Police Facility Occupancy
Mr. Warnick presented his information Report (IR 83:26) dated November 17, 1983,
advising that the Police Facility is expected to be completed and occupied on November
21, 1983.

~?mpliance with Conditions of Approval of Cork Harbour PUD
Mr. Harris presented his Information Report (IR 83:27) dated November 17, 1983,
setting forth the degree of compliance to the conditions of approval of PUD-79-11
by the Cork Harbour developer.

Intention to Make Application to the State Mortgage Bond Allocation Committee for
an Allocation to Permit the issuance of Mortgage Subsidy Bonds
Mr. Walker presented the report of the Director of Finance (SR 83:524) dated
November 22, 1983, regarding this matter.

It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, that
Resolution No. 83-523, directing staff to take the necessary steps, as outlined in
Staff Report 83:524, to make application to the Mortgage Bond Allocation Committee
for an allocation of qualified mortgage bonds to be issued by the City of Pleasanton
in 1984, be adopted.
The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler
NOES: None
ABSENT: None

Report on Request to Amend Final Map for Tract 5004 (Park Place) - Elimination of
Access Way
Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 83:508) dated November 16, 1983, regarding
this matter.

Mr. Ken Gooch, 511 Pine Hill, developer of Park Place, stated it is his desire
and intention to retain a quiet neighborhood atmosphere in this development and that
he is agreeable to the change as presented.

Mr. Carl Walter, 726 Rowell Lane, stated he is pleased with the staff report that
concurs with his opinion. He stated the petition presented some time ago represented
people living on Rowell Lane, which in his opinion is the only valid petition since
they are the only ones who live on this street. He stated he is pleased with the
developer and with his efforts to make this area a nice place to live.

Mr. Peter Foy, 531 Rowell Lane, stated he felt the access on Gerard Court is
sufficient, and that there is not a need for another access at the end of Rowell
Lane to Kottinger Park. He advised there is only one child residing on Rowell Lane,
and that it will be an added safety feature to eliminate the proposed access way.

Mr. George Lydiksen, 553 Rowell Lane, stated he is happy with the development
and that the access way is not necessary.

15. 11/22/83
