MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti inquired about the construction on Bemal Avenue at Koll Center <br />and wondered how many lanes there would be when it is completed. <br /> <br />Mr. Swift said he would send her the plans for this phase. <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis asked if Council would consider a Specific Plan for northeast <br />Pleasanton once the current tasks are completed. She believed it was necessary to resolve <br />concerns about the undeveloped areas of Kaiser, Busch and Staples Ranch. There are <br />issues regarding circulation and other things. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala asked if there was interest on Council about putting an item on the <br />agenda to discuss putting the larger parcels on the ballot and when. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti was concemed about including the Vineyard Corridor in that <br />discussion. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver wanted a vote on this. He said there are two Specific Plans that <br />have been completed and can be put on the March ballot for voter ratification which <br />would put to rest once and for all whether the City will proceed with the Happy Valley <br />and Vineyard Corridor Specific Plans. He has heard people commenting that somehow <br />the golf course is more important than anything else and Council is approving houses to <br />get the golf course, etc. He felt the areas of Happy Valley, Vineyard Corridor, Staples <br />Ranch, San Francisco, Merrit and Busch should be put on the ballot. He wants a <br />discussion to put these on the ballot. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Ayala, seconded by Mayor Tarver, to agendize a <br />discussion about possibly putting projects on the major undeveloped parcels on the <br />ballot. <br /> <br />Ms. Michelotti indicated the agenda for December 7 is already large. <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis had reservations about that. She has heard many people say they <br />were not interested in doing that.
