~.
4. Air Quality Impacts
` (emissions, odors, change in microclimate)
Office development will result in incremental increases in emissions due to
structural heating/cooling & traffic generation. The proposed use would generate
new trips and vehicle miles travelled. Due to the potential for increase in local
employment, there would be off-setting effects of total vehicle miles travelled.
S. Glater Related Impacts
~~: (runoff, flood hazard, quality and quantity of surface and i
ground waters)
Runoff would increase as a result of site development. Improvements in the area
haave been planned to accommodate anticipated runoff resulting from the development
of the Stoneridge commercial area. The flood hazard maps of the U. S. Department
of Housing & Urban Development indicate that the project site is not within a
flood-prone area.
6. There are no trees existing on the site other than those already planE
~ ig the perimeter of Stoneridge Mall Road.
7. Transportation/Circulation Impacts
(additional traffic, congestion, parking, hazards, etc.)
The project site has frontage on Stoneridge Mall Rd., a public road. The proposed
office use may generate approximately 900 trips/day. However, if financial service
use is allowed in the structure, vehicular trips would increase significantly &
additional parking spaces would be required. Sao driveway entrances are proposed
for access to Stoneridge Mall Rd. Because of the design of the existing street
improvements, access to the area is provided via Foothill Rd. & Stoneridge Dr.
Continued development of this area will require the upgrading of the circulation
system & widening of existing streets in conjunction with other projects in the
North Pleasanton area.
8. Noise Impacts
(increases, exposure to high levels)
The site lies within the noise corridor of I-580, the Stoneridge Mall Road, and
a potential BART rail line. The proposed building is oriented toward Stoneridge
Mall Rd. with a greater rear setback from the edge of the freeway right of why.
The elevation of the freeway is slightly higher than that of the project site.
Construction techniques & materials should be incorporated into the design of the
b~•i.lding to mitigate excessive interior noise levels attributable to circulation
i, ses in the area. _
d
q
L L
C C •p
L q t6 C1
C v u u
q •«+ •-~ co
U ~++ W tt0
~.~ ..~ •-1 •.~
N C G ti
~-~ oo •a
y h
~ C C w
'J7 H H •.d
X

-2-.
