Ped Protection*
Min Initial
Max Initial
Time Added Per Actuation
*Yellow Change, Red Clearance, and Ped Protection times shall only
be increased by the master from the times programmed on the phase
timing modules of the controller unit.
(b) Functions which shall be altered on a per phase basis are:
Yehicle Max Recall
Vehicle Min Recall
Ped Recall
Detector Non-Lock
(c) Alteration of Full Demand Phase Sequence
It shall be possible to program different Full Demand Phase
Sequences per intersection, any one of which may be implemented by
the System Timing Pattern in effect. It shall be possible for the
operator to set the allowable phases as well as the phase green
sequences fran the master.
Start up sequence, as programmed on the program module, as well as
Min Red, shall not be modified by the master in any way. Functions
which may be altered by the addition or deletion of the function
are:
DUAL ENTRY
GUARANTEED PASSAGE TIME
SIMULTANEOUS GAP OUT
MAX EXTENSION
RED REST RING 1
RED REST RING 2
CONDITIONAL SERVICE
Dynamic Flow Interconnect
Dynamic flow interconnect shall operate as follows: When a platoon
consisting of a predetermined nu~aber of vehicles or greater is detected,
information regarding its calculated arrival time at the next downstream
intersection shall be used to ad3ust split, force-off, and phase-omi t
functions to provide sync-phase green when the platoon arrives at the
intersection. The process shall be repeated at each intersection
included in the group assigned to the "flow" mode.
If there is a pedestrian demand on` any phase, the system will
inhibit the application of the force off on that phase until immediately
after the end of the normal pedestrian clearance time.
The i ntent of the operation described herei n i s to hol d the sync
preferential phase green or to cause it to go to green at the first
opportunity following start-up of the approaching platoon and time-out
of any pedestrian phases which were already being served.
-15-
